Third time at the Beeman - definitely not a charm.

We've stayed at the Beeman twice before and absolutely loved it. So when my husband had a business trip to Dallas I immediately booked again. Our first night was good. The property seemed a little worse for wear (our bathroom door was off kilter and didn't close, for instance) and the lobby was a little tired looking. But convenient, clean, great staff. We were happy and probably would have rated it a 4. Second day of our stay, however, there was a storm in the area that knocked out power to many neighborhoods and the Beeman was DELUGED with families who seemed to be there on vouchers (from insurance? utility companies? unclear). I'm talking mobs. There were people with many children, multiple pets. We were trying to meet with colleagues in the bar - which has been lovely on past visits - and it was like the food court at a mall. Screaming, trash all over, loud TVs. The lines for the elevator were so long, we finally gave up and walked up the stairs to our sixth floor room; once we got upstairs, there were cots lined up in the hallways (?). Now listen, before people start ranting that of course displaced people need a place to stay, I get it! And I see the signage that says the Beeman wants to be a staycation destination - in other words they're marketing like mad to people FROM Dallas and this was a golden opportunity to open their doors. But we were out-of-towners paying roughly $300/night out of pocket (it's our business) to stay at an upscale midprice hotel and instead ended up in a refugee camp. It was clear to us that the next day would be the same, so we set our alarm for 7, ran downstairs to grab a luggage cart and cleared out of the hotel by 8 - at which point the mayhem over breakfast had already begun.

Loved that we could pick up ice that is already bagged. Parking was a bit of a challange to figure out. Staff was extreemly friendly and helpful. Great Shower, great sleep, loved the bar area. The location was perfect for us. Wish we could taken time to enjoy the pool or outdside seating area.

We love to stay at the Beeman! It is absolutely outstanding! Right when you arrive, the people at the front desk are so welcoming! Our room was so comfortable and lovely! The food and staff in the bar restaurant are fantastic! It is so fun to enjoy the indoor swimming pool with the grandkids! We had an awesome trip!

Great staff, great view, great hospitality. Would def patronize again. Located just in the right side of town for me to check out Dallas for the first time. Conveniently located to all my pit stops, and I had a great view on the 8th floor. Also, love the night time RGB’s

Awesome stay. Clean hotel, great water pressure. Pool was lovely. The free shuttle service to destinations within 3 miles of the hotel was excellent. Staff were friendly and professional. We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and even though the hotel was fully booked the staff were ready and obliging. We will absolutely stay again.
